PAPER JOURNALS

PAPER REALLY IS THE BEST FOR PUTTING DOWN THOUGHTS, NOTES AND BOOZE INDUCED PHILOSOPHIES. SURE, YOU CAN PUT THEM IN YOUR COMPUTER OR PHONE AND THE RISKS ARE HIGH AT LOSING THE INFORMATION IN ALL THESE OPTIONS. BUT, THERE IS SOMETHING WONDERFUL ABOUT THE WEIGHT OF THE PAPER NOTE BOOK IN YOUR POCKET AND THE DISCOVERY OF AN OLD ONE ON YOUR BOOKSHELF.  I THINK A QUICK NOTE ABOUT A DATE, SHOP, RESTAURANT OR PLACE IS JUST A LOT SEXIER IN A PAPER NOTEBOOK ( AND THEY HANDLE THE OCCASIONAL BEER, WINE OR WHISKEY BEING DUMPED ON THEM A LOT BETTER TOO.) IT'S ABOUT THE TEXTURE , THE FEEL OF PENCIL OR PEN TO THE PAGE, I GUESS AND OH, YEAH THEY DON'T RUN OUT OF BATTERY OR REQUIRE A HARD DRIVE... SOME OF MY FAVORITES ARE BELOW. SMYTHSON IS CLASSIC AND I LOVE THE COLOR AND WEIGHT OF THE PAPER. THE GANG AT FIELD NOTES DO A GREAT THIN AND NO EXCUSE TO CARRY JOURNAL AND DUNDERDON'S PAGES ARE WATERPROOF.

I have a really nice one from Smythson with a gold embossed pig on the cover. I was inspired to purchase it after I found a similar one that had been lost onboard an aircraft i was working on. LOL
